REGISTRATION FOR THE 2022 TUMBLEWEED CHAMPIONSHIP IS NOW OPEN!

The 2022 Tumbleweed Championship will be a double elimination open tournament to decide the next Tumbleweed Champion.

All matches will be played on iggamecenter.com on the size 8 board, with 30'+30” time controls.

During each round, the players will have a week to schedule and play a game with their designated opponent.

The games will be scheduled via the Tumbleweed Discord server (https://discord.gg/btwJnRhGhP).

The first round of the tournament will start on October 24th, and the total length of the tournament will depend on the number of participants (in the double elimination format, you are our after two losses).

The initial seeding of the participants will be based on their BGA ratings as of October 20th, except for the reigning Champion Anton Christenson who will be seeded first by default. Players without BGA accounts will be seeded last in random order.

To register, please send a Discord DM to Mike Zapawa (#7309), or an e-mail to mike.zapawa@gmail.com, containing your Tumbleweed Discord username, and your iggamecenter.com username. If you have a BGA account, please include its username as well so that your rating can be verified.

The registration is open until October 21st, 24:00 CET.

Even more casual players are encouradged to participate in the event!

Currently we have 15 players signed up. We would really like to get at least one more player to reach 16 – anyone is welcome to join! :)
